Why Choose the Academy?
The Home Cooking Academy (HCA) is different from traditional cooking school training, whether online or offline.
There are 3 key differences.
- First is WHAT we offer. Traditional cooking schools are usually a collection of videos, articles, or on-site instructions teaching the mechanics of cooking. HCA offers the mechanics, and also the thought processes involved in the planning, preparation, and presentation of a delicious meal.
- Second is HOW we offer it. Traditional cooking schools are usually self directed and unstructured, meaning the person picks and chooses what they think they need, it is presented to them, and the lesson is over. HCA structures each month of content to assure the student not only learns the content and how each piece relates with the other instructions, but also provides a quiz at the end of each month to reinforce what has been taught. Our exclusive MITPAC Formula ™ covers the essential information in a way that provides a much clearer picture what good cooking and food enjoyment is all about.
- Third is the MANNER we offer it. Traditional cooking schools are time consuming. Whether local or online, the instruction can take one to three hours at a time. Busy people can struggle making that much time available, especially if they need to get baby-sitters or schedule for so much time. HCA provides about 10 items of content each month, but each item usually follows the 15-minute rule. Designed to be thorough yet succinct, HCA content items, whether video, audio, PDF, or article is designed to be understood within 15 minutes. This allows a busy person to login in, comprehend the subject, and log out in more manageable time frames.

“I like having HCA in my kitchen as my ‘cooking coach.’ I have learned lots of useful techniques. One of my favorites is presentation. I can’t wait to learn more and have that dinner party I have always wanted to do and WOW family and friends with their meal. I feel like HCA will give me the ability and confidence to do so.”
